Thought for the Day – “Ultimate Authority”

The topic of ‘hierarchy’ has been coming up a lot lately. 

When I take a look at the second tradition it becomes super-clear that there is no hierarchy between us. That God has no grandkids. Good luck convincing ‘self’ of that. It demands to be at the top of something it creates based on false evidence appearing real.

It seems the unraveling of this false hierarchy will take a lifetime or possibly more.

What is more simply applicable is the inner hierarchy for my life.

In my case I am an alcoholic first, a grateful member of the Al Anon family groups second, a member of my family third, an American etc…

As long as I remember that, I am golden. Anything else will lead to suffering for me and any group I am ‘involved’ in.
