Thought for the Day – “We will no longer regret the past”
In order to bring light to a room I don’t need to remove the darkness, I simply need to add a little light. Even a match will do it.
As I walk through the day I am to “pause when agitated or doubtful”. Due to the effects of the family disease of alcoholism, it is difficult for the mind to admit it is doubtful which is, in itself is agitating.
We have all taken actions that violate our own moral code and those actions prove beyond doubt that I need a power for my life right now.
There is another appropriate quote from the Talmud, “The place whereon the repentant stand the righteous cannot reach”.
My track record of abject failure is in fact, my greatest asset.
Contemplation for the Day
What would my life look like if I never turned to self as the lord of my life?
